Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the FirstCV app (“the app”), published by AIMakeHub (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Apple’s licence and these terms
The app is licensed to you, not sold. Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”) applies to the app. These terms add rules that are specific to FirstCV. If they conflict, the Apple EULA prevails for the licence itself. Apple is not a party to these terms.
2. What FirstCV does
FirstCV helps you write a resume or CV, adjust how it looks and export it as a PDF. Your resumes are stored on your device. We do not promise that a resume will get you an interview or a job, or that every employer’s application system will read it in the same way.
3. Your content
You own the information and text you put into the app and the PDFs you export. You are responsible for making sure that it is accurate and that you have the right to use it, including photos and other people’s details such as references. Please use the app honestly and do not present false qualifications or experience.
Your resumes live only on your device. Back up your device: we cannot recover a resume that has been deleted or lost.
4. Free use and ads
The app has free and Premium templates. Exporting a PDF with a free template is free: you can choose to watch a short rewarded video ad served by Google AdMob first, or go Premium instead. If an ad cannot be shown, the export continues. We do not control the content of ads and are not responsible for advertisers or their sites.
5. Premium
Premium unlocks additional templates, the AI writing tools and ad-free export. What a plan includes, its price and its billing period are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment and renewal. Purchases are charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel. In the app open Settings → Manage subscription, or on your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds. Apple handles billing and refunds for App Store purchases (reportaproblem.apple.com). We cannot refund App Store purchases ourselves.
- Trials and offers. If a free trial or an introductory price is offered, it is described before you confirm, and any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- One-time purchases. A one-time purchase does not renew. It unlocks the Premium features for you for as long as the app and those features are offered.
- Restore. Use Restore on the Premium screen, or Settings → Restore purchases, to get your purchases back on a new device or after reinstalling.
- Prices. Prices can differ by country and can change. Changes to subscription prices follow Apple’s rules and are shown to you.
6. AI features
The AI writing tools (summary, fix, optimize and cover letter) are part of Premium. They send the text for the action you run to our server and to an AI provider, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- AI output can be wrong, incomplete, generic or similar to what other people receive. Read and edit everything before you use it. You are responsible for what you send to employers.
- Do not type sensitive personal data (such as health, religion or political views) into text that will be sent to the AI.
- We may limit how much the AI tools can be used to keep them available, they may be unavailable at times, and we may change or remove them.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the app unlawfully, to create misleading or fraudulent documents or to infringe other people’s rights. Do not copy the app, reverse engineer it or try to extract its source code except where the law allows it. Do not bypass or interfere with ads, purchases, usage limits or our servers, and do not send automated or abusive requests to the AI service.
8. Our rights
The app, its templates, designs, text and brand belong to AIMakeHub or its licensors and are protected by law. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, subject to the Apple EULA. The PDFs you create are yours to use for your own applications.
9. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty of any kind, including that the app will be free of errors or interruptions, that it suits a particular purpose, or that a resume or AI-written text will achieve a particular result.
10. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, AIMakeHub is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunities or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid through the App Store in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it (cancel any subscription separately). We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or misuse the service, and we may change or discontinue features.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The new version will appear on this page with a new effective date, and if you keep using the app after it takes effect you accept the updated terms. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app or in the release notes.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where AIMakeHub is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you live still apply to you.
